A synthetic hexapeptide, D-Ala-D-2-naphthylalanine-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, and an agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1a. The D-amino acids at three positions are what make it resistant to the peptidases that would clear an all-L sequence.
