Hexarelin

A synthetic hexapeptide, His-D-2-methyl-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2. It is an agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1a, the ghrelin receptor. It is also reported to bind CD36, a scavenger receptor, which distinguishes it from the more selective secretagogues in this category.
