What exists for each

Ipamorelin has two registered trials that we verified as administering it, with a combined enrolment of 437 and a furthest phase of 2. GHRP-2 has none: no registered study names it as an intervention.12

Neither compound has an approved product in the FDA's records, which means neither has been through a regulatory review of manufacturing, labelling, safety or effectiveness.3

The difference between two and zero

It is tempting to treat two trials and no trials as roughly the same, and in one sense they are: neither supports a confident claim about what the compound does. But they differ in kind rather than degree.1

Two trials means the compound has been given to people under a protocol filed in advance, with an outcome specified before the data existed. Zero trials means that has never happened. The first is a very small evidence base; the second is not an evidence base at all.12

Why one is famous and the other is not

Attention in this category is driven by which names circulate in marketing and forums, and that circulation has no relationship to the registry at all.2

Common questions

Does no registered trial mean GHRP-2 does nothing?

No. It means there is no trial evidence to read. Absence of a study is not evidence of absence of an effect — it is the absence of an answer.

Is ipamorelin the safer choice because it has two trials?

Two phase 2 trials in 437 people cannot establish safety. They are far too small and too short to detect uncommon or delayed harms.

Why do these appear on the same product pages?

They belong to the same pharmacological family and are marketed together. Shared marketing does not imply a shared evidence base, and here it does not.
