Liraglutide
An analogue of human glucagon-like peptide-1 in which the lysine at position 34 is replaced by arginine and a C16 palmitic acid chain is attached through a glutamic acid spacer at lysine 26. It binds the GLP-1 receptor. The fatty-acid chain binds serum albumin, which is what slows its clearance relative to native GLP-1 — the same design principle as semaglutide, with a shorter chain.
