Neither epithalon nor pinealon has a registered human trial naming it as an intervention.

Both come from a Russian research programme with a clinical literature that English-language databases largely do not index — which is a limitation of the record, not proof that nothing happened.

This page reports what public, checkable evidence exists for two peptide bioregulators. It does not evaluate claims made in sources we cannot verify, makes no recommendation, and contains no dose, schedule or route.

What is checkable

Both compounds have identity records in PubChem: epithalon is a tetrapeptide with a molecular weight of 390.35, pinealon a tripeptide at 418.40. Those are facts about the molecules and they are solid.34

Beyond identity the record thins abruptly. Neither has a registered trial in ClinicalTrials.gov naming it as an intervention. Our ten-year PubMed search finds 3 publications for epithalon and 1 for pinealon.12

The literature that is not in these databases

Both compounds originate in a long-running Russian research programme on peptide bioregulators, which produced a substantial body of clinical work published in Russian-language journals over several decades.12

That work is largely absent from PubMed and entirely absent from ClinicalTrials.gov. This site therefore records these compounds as having no registered trial, which is accurate about the record and should not be read as a claim that no research was ever conducted.12

What that leaves a buyer with

An awkward position, honestly described. There is a claimed evidence base that cannot be examined, and there is a checkable record that is nearly empty. Those two things do not resolve into a verdict.1

What can be said is narrow and useful: no registered trial exists in the databases most of the world's medicine relies on, no regulator has approved either compound, and any specific numerical claim about effect should be traceable to a source you can actually read.12

Common questions

Does no indexed record mean the Russian studies were poor?

It says nothing about their quality. Indexing depends on journal, language and era. The problem is that unindexed work cannot be located and examined by an ordinary reader.

Why not simply cite the Russian literature?

Because this site's rule is that a citation must be checkable by the reader. Citing sources we cannot access ourselves would put a reference where verification should be.

Are epithalon and pinealon the same kind of thing?

Both are short peptide bioregulators from the same research tradition, but they are distinct molecules with different sequences and different claimed targets.
